Lucy Sparrow’s “Add to Cart” exhibition in Bangkok is a vibrant and immersive art installation that transforms the everyday street food experience into a whimsical, felt-filled adventure. Hosted in the bustling city of Bangkok at The Standard Hotel, this exhibition brings Sparrow’s unique artistic vision to Southeast Asia, captivating audiences with her meticulously crafted felt replicas of typical Thai street food, sweets and treats.

The “Add to Cart” installation features a wide array of felt creations, including Khanom Krok, Moo Ping, Roti, fresh fruit and a huge selection of snacks, all designed with the bright colours of Bangkok and intricate details. Sparrow’s exceptional craftsmanship turns ordinary street food into playful and engaging art pieces, inviting visitors to explore and interact with the tactile displays.

Set up to mimic the experience of sweet shops and street food carts, the exhibition includes categorised sections and interactive elements, allowing visitors to “browse” and “add to cart” as they would in a virtual shop, which would then be delivered to them later.
