What paints do you use?
I use Tulip Colour Crafts paints! They’re my favourite brand to use
Will items seen in exhibitions be available online?
More than likely not. Everything at the exhibition has been made specially for that show. Once it’s gone it’s gone!
Do you sell at exhibitions or pop-ups as well as online?
Yes! Almost everything you see at my exhibitions and pop-ups is for sale.
Can I use my purchase for commercial use or promotion?
We strongly discourage the use of felt artworks for commercial or promotional use unless discussed otherwise.
How should I care for my artwork?
We encourage customers not to wash their felt artworks.
How often do you release new collections?
We aim to release new collections of holiday decorations every year!
Are sold-out items ever restocked?
Sometimes. Depending on the demand and how popular the item is we will determine whether to re-stock it. If there’s something you’d like us to bring back please get in touch! This will give us a good idea of what is popular.
Are all pieces unique?
Yes! No two items are the same, and every single one has Lucy’s love and passion poured into it.
Will my item look exactly like the photos?
Due to the handmade nature of the items every piece will be slightly different to the photo shown on the website. Each piece is unique to you!
Can you ship a gift directly to the recipient for me?
We can! If your order is going directly to the recipient please leave a note at checkout and we won’t include an order receipt in the package. Let us know of any messages you’d like us to include in the package as well.
Can I change my delivery address after ordering?
If your delivery address is incorrect or you would like to send it to an alternative address, please get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can amend it before sending out your order.
What happens if my order is delayed?
During busy periods such as Christmas and exhibitions, orders may be delayed. If you need your order urgently please get in touch and we will try our best to fast track it.
Will I receive tracking information?
Tracking information will be sent to your email inbox once your order has left the studio. Make sure to double check your spam/junk folders as sometimes it ends up there! If it has been a while and tracking still hasn’t updated, please contact the postal company before getting in touch.
Do you offer express or tracked shipping?
All orders are sent tracked so you can view the journey of your felt! If you require an order urgently please email us after you have placed it, and we will try our very best to get this fast tracked for you.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Once your order has left the studio you will be sent an email notification. UK orders are sent via Royal Mail First Class so you can expect to receive your order 1-3 days after dispatch. International orders take a little while longer, between 1-2 weeks. However, during busy postal periods these times may vary.
How long will my order take to dispatch?
As each item is handmade especially for you, dispatch times may vary from 1-2 weeks depending on the size of your order. However, during busy periods or when Lucy is away for exhibitions this may be longer. Keep an eye on the website for notifications about dispatch times!
Do I have to pay custom duties/import taxes?
Yes, the customer is responsible for paying any custom duties/import taxes. If you’re ordering outside of the UK and your country requires you to pay these charges on art, then you will be notified to pay when your order has entered the country. Please check your country’s policies to find out the charges.
How are US tariffs handled on orders?
We pay the tariffs on orders entering the US! However, any custom duties/import taxes are the customers responsibility to pay once the order has entered the country.
What is your returns policy?
Customers have 30 days from the day after delivery to request a return in the event that the artwork is faulty or if they have changed their mind. Customers are responsible for return postage.
Is everything handmade?
Yes, everything is hand sewn and painted freehand which is why every item looks slightly different, giving you a unique and personal item.

More than likely! We post worldwide with only the smallest of exceptions. If you have any trouble during the checkout, contact us and we’ll see what we can do for you.
Are these dog toys?
No.
What type of felt do you use?
We use mainly Polyester or a Wool Mix from UK based businesses.
How do you design products?
We usually start with pictures and start designing a flat version of what we would like to make. We make two flat versions so one can be constructed and the other stays as the template. Then we construct it, tweaking the design as we go to make sure it works and then updating the flat version to match.
How do you paint the font so well freehand?
Practice, practice, practice.
Do you have a gallery where I can see your works?
No I don’t have a gallery, however I have travelling shows that you can attend as well as some works dotted around the world. There will soon be a world map on my website which displays the places I have work that you can see.
How do you decide on the next show?
I always have so many ideas flying around my brain, so it all depends on which one I think I can visualise the most. Time is also key in choosing what to do when.
Where do you get your inspiration?
I take a huge draw from the past and love anything nostalgic. What was my favourite sweet as a child, what did my Mum cook on a Friday or what did the shops look like growing up. But it doesn’t just start and end with food and drink, I am also inspired by news, true crime and current affairs.
When did you start making art?
The first thing I made was a felt star christmas decoration with the help of my Mum. It kicked off from there.
Have you always only worked with felt?
Felt has been my main material to use within my art however I do draw and paint prints as well.
How big is your team?
Currently we are a team of 6 in my studio where we design and cut out all the items and some at home sewers that help put it all together.
What’s the biggest show you have done so far?
To date the biggest show has been Tampa Fresh Food, with 50,000 items.

Yes I do! Just send me an email at sewyoursoul@gmail.com or feltcave@gmail.com where we can discuss what you would like to have. Alternatively, send your enquiries through the contact page
How many cats do you have?
4! Huxley, Ogilvy, Esmerelda and Vlad the Impaler. Impaler by name, Impaler by nature.
Will you be doing more prints?

What’s your banana’s name?
He’s the lovely Sebastian! Basil has retired and now stays at home with the cats.
How long do shows take to make?
Depends on the show! Tampa Fresh Foods took 2 years from start to finish as it was 50,000 items but we are getting quicker and quicker as we increase the team and implement new ways of working.
