Mr Frieze

Lucy Sparrow’s “Mr. Frieze” is a striking and inventive art installation that showcases her skill at covering any object and bringing it back to life. This exhibition features an intricately covered and sewn Ice-Cream Van, sporting ice cream models and motifs where you can hear a shrill and typical Ice Cream van tune. Be careful, you’ll start dreaming about that tune. Inspired by the Frieze Art Fair, Lucy embarked on a guerilla art show in the form of the Ice Cream Van, sitting right outside the fair, enticing art fair goers to her lovely ice creams.

The installation includes a series of hand-sewn Mr Whippy’s, Twisters, Fab’s and all manner of sodas and flakes to suit everyone’s fancy.

“Mr. Frieze” creates an immersive experience for visitors, inviting them to explore and engage with the felt creations that bring the Ice-Creams to life. The exhibition merges playful imagination with sophisticated craftsmanship, offering a fresh and engaging perspective on the intersection of art and everyone’s favourite treats.
