The Most Heartfelt Chippy Opening of the Year

Bourdon Street Chippy has had some special visitors throughout its opening – but the cherry on top of the cake was a very special visit from the team at the National Fish & Chip Awards! They stopped by to present Lucy with a unique award.

Bourdon Street Chippy has been officially named the ‘most heartfelt’ chippy opening of the year! The award was presented by the wonderful Caroline Murphy, who shared some lovely words about the installation. She highlighted Lucy’s dedication to sustainability, quality, and celebrating iconic industry brands, as well as how the installation captures the nostalgia and love that the UK has for a proper chippy tea. Hearing this meant the world as it’s exactly what Lucy hoped to create with this show.

Bourdon Street Chippy recreated those warm memories, community spirit, and deep cultural love we all share for the humble chippy. So receiving this recognition was a special feat.
